Nurturing Parenting

The Nurturing Programs target all families at risk for abuse and neglect with children birth to 18 years. The programs have been adapted for a variety of family populations, including Hispanic, African-American / Black, Hmong, foster and adoptive, military, teen parents, children with health needs, parents with special learning needs, and families in alcohol treatment and recovery programs.

Observations

Counselors meet with child and parent to observe natural interaction, then follow up with recommendations that encourage healthier relationships.

Therapeutic Visitation

Designed to help parents who cannot have unsupervised access to their children due to a history of child physical or sexual abuse, domestic violence, substance abuse, or mental illness an opportunity to build a nurturing and appropriate relationship with their children.

Individual

Sessions feature the combination of psychoeducation with activities to foster positive parenting skills, self-nurturing home practice exercises, nurturing family time, and positive brain development in children birth to 18 years.

Goals

Acknowledging the different learning styles; we offer group sessions that collectively feature psychoeducation and activities to foster positive parenting skills, self-nurturing home practice exercises, family nurturing time, and positive brain development in children birth to 18 years.
